A white wii is NOT worth £119 nowadays...it's been out way too long. Get it under a hundred and I'll bother.0

Hi all
don't post often as I am usually working but the snow puts paid to that so here I am.
Just wanted to share this (and apologies if this has been mentioned further down this thread!) - I managed to get a dsi in Sainsbury for my daughter but my son wanted a dsi xl - none available in my local branch of Sainsburys so went online and checked out the John Lewis site and they had wine coloured dsi xl for £153 (including free accessory pack). I filled in their 'NKU' form online giving details of the Sainsburys offer - lo and behold I received an email from John Lewis saying they would honour this offer!
They supplied me with a reference number and I phoned them about 7pm on a Sunday evening. The operator asked if I wanted it delivered and I queried the cost of P&P - FREE (!) for 5 day delivery - hooray!
It actually arrived on the Tuesday afternoon - and came complete with FREE accessory pack (worth £15 - headphones/screen protectors etc).
I am a very happy bunny - hope this wil help someone else too!
Happy Christmas all and take care in the snow & ice!0 -

They all do the same thing - play Wii games, regardless of colour !
Don't get me wrong - they are really great fun, and we have one ourselves and thoroughly enjoy it. But get one at the best price - regardless of white, black or red colouring !
2 years ago, they were pretty much £180, with some slight discounting and offers around at the time, but you didn't get Sports Resort and the Motion Plus included.
Now with prices down to £120 or a bit more, including Sports Resort which retails at around £35 - 40 by itself, that is good value to me.0 -
Be very wary of Woolworths if thinking of ordering a dsi xl. I ordered one for my daughters xmas pressy on the 22nd Nov and was advised that it should be with me by 25th Nov - great I thought. No dsi arrived on the 25th so I tracked the order online and noticed that they'd changed the delivery date to the 10th Dec - not happy but still in time for xmas - WRONG. It didn't arrive by the 10th so I tracked it again and the date had changed AGAIN to 20 Jan 2011. I realise that these things happen but surely they could have let their customers know via email that there was a delay and the item wouldn't be here for xmas. I've cancelled the order and am now frantically looking for a good deal on a replacement.
Very poor customer service Woolworths and one very unhappy customer who will never use your services again. Be warned shoppers. (I'm fuming by the way - just in case it doesn't come across0 -

Thanks Kelly, it's the XL we want as she's only 7 so the bigger one won't be as fiiddly. Toys r us has the xl's for 139.99 but most colours are out of stock just red wine and brown in - we might have to make do with one of them and get her a pretty case to girly it up a bit.
Thanks for the thought though0 -
they really aren't that fidly. my 4 and 6 yr old's have the old ds lites and i bought the xl for hubby on this offer. i think kids are much better off with the smaller ones imo, xl's are like bricks in comparison and the idea of the console is to be portable. have you actually tried them out?0

my daughter who has just turned 6 has got the normal dsi for xmas, she had the old ds lite for last xmas but it got water damaged and she has managed fine with the older one so this one should be no problem.
my son who is almost 3 plays on his other sisters ds lite and does quite well for his age lol0 -
Thanks for the replies ladies - only just got them and we've got her the XL which she loves. She managed fine with her old ds but the XL is better for her. She's using the camera a lot and it's better to view her modified pics on the bigger screen. She doesn't actually take it many places so she's using it mainly at home or at her nans, as it is quite chunky it could be an issue for a child who took it everywhere with them. She loves the XL and I would recommend it.0
