  • The Royals will pay for it, the state only pays if its the monarch or the first in line. Although most of their money came from us originaaly, I suppose.

  • I think it's lovely, it's just a pity that in reality, their day won't be theirs - it's all about who gets invited, where, when etc (like all weddings) but whilst most people only have the inlaws to worry about, they will have an army of courtiers, advisors and people who work for the royals telling them all of this and not asking! Also, who to have in the wedding party ie bridesmaids etc

Not only this, but he probably had to have the Queens permission first before he even asked her or her dad!

Saying that, her dad should count himself lucky that he won't have to put his hand in his pocket for this one!

I bet that Kate's wedding dress will have no train.
    I love surprises!
  • Why do you say that, maggie?

I reckon she'll wear something very simple and classic, although she does have a habit of dressing a little too old, IYSWIM - that outfit she was wearing in all the news reports was lovely but doesn't really suit a 28 year old, IMO.

She is stunning though, so I'm sure will look amazing whatever she wears.

Lets hope she always wanted the big traditional white wedding...can hardly see her suggesting that maybe they just sneak off with the parents and best mates for a quiet do at some lovely country inn. And she'll never know the fun of looking at the novelty cake toppers and deciding they'll be perfect....of getting that perfect pair of shoes at an absolue bargain and feeling so chuffed you then decide that gives you the right to double the budget for something else. Mind you I bet she's cringing at the thought of FIL2B insulting the other guests :rotfl::rotfl:

They make a lovely couple, but i don't like her having Diana's ring as an engagement ring,it wasn't exactly a marriage made in heaven. If i was Kate i would have wanted my own engagement ring.
  • Not even a drop embarrassed to say I think they are just lovely together.

I will be watching this on the telly when it is televised.

By the way, has anyone figured out the designer of Kate's stunning royal blue dress? The girl is the definition of poise.
