bad luck/good luck

I just wanted to say that after having a horrible day yesterday (look at moozies how much will you spend today thread) we have had a little bit of good luck today (I think!) oh went 2 get an application form yesterday and was invited for an interview today!:j
he was supposed to be interviewed from 11am-3pm:confused:
but at 12pm rang me to say he got the job and starts on monday:T
he gets paid weekly so that will be great but he needs some black shoes (the dog ate his!)
anywhere selling cheap black shoes?
I'm also unsure wether it will cost us more in the long run paying babysitters!
He has offered his sister £25 a week which she has accepted but she also works part-time so on the days she can't do it we may have to put them in a nursery (which I am not happy about) (long story).
but at least it may be a few more pennies in the run up to xmas!:xmassmile

Well done Cat - tell him to buy some Brown shoes - dogs are less partial to them.
Probably see you later if you're putting the Kettle on this afternoon, now you've got something to celebrate (and the extra star).
    Cheers

    excellent news cattie :D

Have you thought about using a childminder instead of nurseries? They are quite bit cheaper i believe & pretty flexible. Speak to your local Childrens Information Service run by your council, they should be able to give you an idea of rates and vacancies :)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Good luck with OH's new job. My friend's just become a registered child minder and i'm sure she said that she was told to advertise / register with surestart. Good luck sorting child care. xx
