Wanted-Digital Camera-£150.00 MAX

Went to Jessops on Saturday and saw a Fuji Finepix A330 for 99.95 but refrained from buying it in case this website threw up a better deal. Since then I have seen a Sony Cybershot DSC-P73 on offer on Amazon at a damn good price. Now bearing in mind that I'm no David Bailey and that all I want -like everyone else-the best value for my budget-and a camera that doesnt take the brainpower of Einstein to understand, can anyone recommend anything better, and, if they can give me the link to find it? I dont want Aldi type no-name makes, just an industry known make.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Try looking at a few of the camera review sites, e.g:

    http://www.steves-digicams.com

    http://www.dcresource.com

    http://www.dpreview.com

The Canon Powershots generally have a pretty good reputation, both the A75 and the A85 are within your budget.

    Hi,

I know this is a bit more than you wanted to spend, but I've just received a newsletter from Aldi and they are due to have the following digital cameras in for £179 from 17/2/05. Spec. as follows :-

Unbeatable top specification digital camera with superb support package.
    • Huge 6.3 mega pixel resolution
    • 3x optical zoom
    • 4x digital zoom
    • Movie and sound capture mode
    • Large 2" TFT LCD colour monitor
    • 3 mode flash with red eye reduction
    • 10 second self-timer
    • USB, video and mains outlets
    • AC mains adaptor/charger
    • Aluminium camera body.
Superb support package includes: 128Mb SD memory card (1500 images at minimum resolution, 44 images at maximum resolution); two rechargeable high performance lithium ion batteries; separate battery charging unit for recharging the spare battery unit; separate 12 volt car charger for charging the battery or powering the camera whilst on the move; USB cable; video/TV cable; picture editing software; driver software; pouch.

I don't know much about digital cameras, but the spec. does look good for the price.

    :)
    Wins since 2009 = £17,600

Little more than your budget but do a search on the www to find out more about it.

    it's an incredible buy.
