Boiling Milk
crux

Anyone got any tips for boiling milk without burning it onto the base of the sauce pan? Or failing that how do you clean it off easily without scouring the pan with wire wool?

Use a non stick milk pan and bring it to the boil slowly whilst stirring it. Or you can use a diffuser plate under the pan. Put the pan straight into cold water after you've poured the milk.Val.0

You could also try swilling cold water around the inside of the pan before putting the milk in.0

If you add a small quantity of water to the milk you're boiling, this acts as a film. This film will prevent the milk from sticking.
Pour in first a small amount of water and swirl it around the pan, then add the cold milk.
It works every time!0 -
