St Andrew's Day Free Weekend

As St Andrew's Day falls on a Tuesday this year the free admittance to Historic Scotland sites including Edinburgh and Stirling castles lasts from Saturday 27th November until Tuesday 30th November.

Edinburgh Zoo will be doing free entry on 30 November, not on the website as yet as they are just finalising the details today. Always a busy one though so get there early. I can recommend eating in the restaurant rather than the cafe if its busy.

Glad its up somewhere, I phoned the Zoo just before I posted and they did say the website would be updated asap!

FB status from Edinburgh Zoo yesterday....

The heavy snow has been lots of fun for the penguins, but unfortunately the Zoo is closed today until 11am when we will re-assess the situation. If you're thinking about coming along to the Zoo today, please phone 0131 334 9171 in advance!


More snow again overnight and snowing now so I'm thinking you best phone the zoo if you are planning a visit today.
