So, I guess you have to check back every 12 hours or so?? Any tips/hints to getting one? I'm always rubbish at sniping on ebay too lol

Don't know if this has been posted already, just wanted to add that I use Opera and have been wondering where all these wonderful were hiding - tried it in internet explorer and can now see what all the fuss is about.:j

So if anyone is confused as I am try using a different browser.;)

Just my tuppence for anyone who hasn't yet participated in the "sale" and is wondering.

I am on holiday right now and 10 hours behind you lot so I have been able to see a lot of those "out of hours" deals, they're really not that great. The only one I had an eye on was the Toshiba TV when it came up again as I expected it to come down from 349 to 249 like it did before - that was due to start 8:30 your time, 22:30 my time so I held out for it.

I put it in my basket before the sale - at 22:30 I refreshed the basket, the price didn't change. I went back to the Black Friday page and clicked Add to Basket and was put in the queue (as I understand it you queue while others check out and if they fail to buy you move up the queue). Then I made my mistake - I went to open a new tab and accidentally clicked on a bookmark from the bar at the top of my browser. Lost my queue place and the chance to buy. The product page for item never changed price by the way.

So:

• You must buy from the Deals page, DON'T REFRESH IT WHILE IT'S COUNTING OUT THE LAST FEW SECONDS!
• Don't add it to your basket beforehand unless someone else has confirmed it works - it didn't for me
• Don't skip straight to the product page, this is a special basket item
• Remember, if you feel upset at missing it, like I did - the price will probably come down anyway - and you might not have needed it in the first place
• Don't be taken in by the chance of a bargain! It's only a bargain if you really need it

Oh and by the way, the US have this MUCH worse. Their discounts are not only not very good from what I have seen thus far, they have to shop in real shops - that are opening at 4AM. Kohl's is opening at 3AM...
