What a wonderful gesture from the News of the World.
This xmas the News of the World have joined up with supermarket giant Tesco to give £25 worth of presents for EVERY CHILD who has a parent on the front line
WHAT TO DO:
Just email to toys@notw.co.uk:
It's as simple as that! The presents will then be dropped off at military bases around the country
Thanks to parisp on HUKD!

thats absolutely brilliant, i was a child of a member of the armed forces (many years ago i hasten to add) and i know that it would have been absolutely brilliant to think that other people thought enough of what my dad was doing to do that for me and other children, i just think it is such a shame that this needs to be done by Tesco's and NOTW and that our own government don't show as much respect for our armed forces and their families.Very proud to be Strip club member No 430 -
Does this include soldiers who are posted abroad, as my brother has just been posted to Germany?0

It says here that there is a different way of claiming this year - http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/notw/public/pub_campaigns/toys_for_our_boys/1139847/Our-Santas-dish-out-150000-gifts-for-our-brave-troops.html0

ooops i mised the frontline part, and i just emailed it to like 100's of people, darn, must read closer in future.
Im sure they'll pass it on to people who need it though, so all is not lost.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
Well, the claiming the toys looks better than it did last year. It was a fiasco trying to help SIL get these for my nieces - luckily they are not going to be reciepients this year as their Dad is home.0

OP - can you change the title from ''parent in the forces'' to ''parent serving on the front line''
Its a bit confusing.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
