Playstation 2 is backwardly compatible with Playstation 1 games! You really might as well get a Playstation 2, you can use it as a back-up DVD player (you can't with the Playstation 1). They'll probably be coming down in price quite sharpish what with the madly expensive PS3 around the corner.0
