Where to buy christmas tree?

Hi,

OH threw out our christmas tree last year after the Christmas festivities. Said it had seen better days. Where can I get a fake plastic tree about 6ft tall at a reasonable price?

Thanks.

    Hello kawan2

As we have a new 'Christmas & Winter Festivities' board, I'll move your thread across.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

    Regards

If you don't want anything specific keep an eye open in Charity shops, or maybe pop and advert on Freecycle, I managed to get a new one still in it's box from a charity shop one year for £3
One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks for all the replies. Will pop in to Wilkos probably this weekend and the charity shops that are just a few doors away and see what they have got.

    Cheers.
  • I bought a gorgeous tree from Woolworths 3 years ago. Its the nicest tree I've seen, it looks just like the picture when set up, very bushy and lifelike. Its also very sturdy and I imagine I will have it for a long time to come.

I think at less than £40 its a bargain BUT I noticed that woolies had them half price last year which is exceptional value!

I'll get mine from B&Q as I can also get 20% off as my dad works there :D (more money saving for me) Dunno if it will be fiber optic I got for but it wont matter still get it at a decent price :)
  • I have always loved chritmas and was so proud of my christmas tree - really bushy and lifelike decorated to perfection.....then last year I looked at it in the corner and thought "how Bizarre ...I have a tree in my lounge!" the more I looked at it ..the weirder it seemed! I am wondering if I will bother this year which makes me feel a bit sad as I have always loved doing the tree! Does anyone else think it is a bit odd having a tree indoors!! ..or am I just going a bit loopy?
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)

    Your just going loopy :P

Nah sometimes i feel like that, maybe just do something different to it, Now I dont know what but still its an idea.
  • If you can be patient then you get some fantastic bargains the week before Christmas. We got a beautiful tree from B+Q 2 years ago reduced down from £100 to £50. Everyhting they had from most expensive to cheapest trees - artificial and real - were all reduced down by 50% and lots of other shops and supermarkets do this too so it might be worth holding off!
Me debt free thanks to MSE :T
