HP 1215 all in one printer - what do you think?

Currently using a HP Deskjet 660C and do not possess a scanner but I would like one - so ....

Saw advert in yesterdays paper for this at WHSmith.

Hewlett Packard HP 1215 AIO (printer/scanner/copier) for £69.99 with free USB cable and paper (sort & amount unknown)

Anybody bought one recently ?
Looked at it but purchased a better value/cheaper equivalent device?
Ditched this model for something better ?
Ditched something else for this ?
Are cartridges at a good value price ? (Either OEM or compatible)

Any and all comments welcome please.

This is also availale at ebuyer with FREE delivery for £61.96 (inc. VAT) but no USB cable (or PAPER)

  • There is a review of this printer at computer buyer

It received a recommended award, they quote the price as £64.00 inc VAT so have a look around the web for a cheaper price! as with all HP printers the a very reliable and the print quality is one of the best on the market.

HP original colour cartridges for this printer are a staggering £52.88 and the black cartridges are £20.19 but don’t let this put you off, as remanufactured cartridges are available for a more modest £15.92 for the colour and £8.75 for the black cartridge

I have one of these printers, its great!! I had to buy a separate USB cable though (around £20 I think, from memory) so do take that into account when you're shopping around.

Also, I pay £17 for colour and £15 for B&W ink cartridges from my local PC shop, and there are good deals on-line, so do shop around for them too (silly me, of course you will :D )

  • Hi,

I must admit I don't know this printer at all but I would keep away from HP (and Lexmark) because of the high cost of consumables.

I have a Epson CX3200 and I am well pleased with it. I get my compatible black cartidges for £3.90 and colour for £4.90. You can't really argue with that.

And the quality is pretty good too!

I've had this printer for about a year and i've only just changed the black cartridge with moderate use, far better than the epson one I had previously.

    Could really recommend it.
I bought original cartridges from https://www.7dayshop.com for a good price.

I like the size and the way the paper is stored underneath.

ALDI from 17th March are doing the HP 1219 for £59.99 - comes complete with a USB cable and a 3 year warranty.

Anyone got any experience of this particular model.

    Seems there is the 1215, 1315, 1250, 1350 and now the 1219 .

All "the same" but "all differerent".
