Well when you started the tariff for EOL was very different, plus more discount, and the price rises this year alone are massive - Close to 40% increase in gas prices alone. At the old price it would be easy for your price to be £400 if not less -
The price that I quoted is the same usage as last year but at this years prices so you can see what you would be using in the next year - However if you have your old bill then put the prices you were paying at the beginning of the year and I will work that out for you as well if you want0 -
Prices per January Bill:
Electric - cost per kwh 7.24 plus standing charge which was £8.46 for 8.11.05 to 9.01.06
Gas - cost per kwh 1.734 pluse standing charge £8.33~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

At those prices you mention for gas - the supply at 1.734 per kWh for the same amount (November 05 - October 06) is £329.12 exc your standing charges.
Nowadays what I posted before is correct - What comparison site were you using because it would suggest its well outdated or blatantly lying about products you can chose from.0 -
I used the first two sites from the link on :money:
£15 cashback. Four providers offer this; Energyhelpline Cashback*,SimplySwitch Cashback*, Energylinx Cashback* and UK Power Cashack*. My top pick due to strong feedback from past users is Energyhelpline Cashback*.

I tried the energyhelpline site for you - Based on kWh and the results I got for your area are below:

This is a Dual Fuel account as well - Paid by Monthly DD.0 -
Thanks for this. I will clear out my cookies etc and try again. Either way I'm better switching to npower as they seem consistently cheaper than powergen no matter how wrong the figures are!

Read through the threads below before making that decision. Npower seem to be getting a bit of a slating at the mo :rotfl:0
