    Gas

    Bill dated 10/01/06 for Nov-Jan 419 units £81.03
Bill dated 10/04/06 for Jan - Apr 627 units £137.11
    Bill dated 21/06/06 for Apr-Jun 458 units £113.27
    Bill dated 14/10/06 for Jul-Oct 158 units £55.94

    Total units 1662 £387.35

Are these units the volume (in either m3 or hcf) or kWh? Also what were the total charges (ie the gas and elec added together inc VAT and discount) on the four quarterly bills.

That reminds me as well - If your accounts are not linked on powergens records (either on a onebill or the accounts are together and billing seperate) you may not be getting your full discount as well - May be worth looking into.

    Bill 10/01/06 819 units £67.76
    10/04/06 1851 units £151.37
    21/06/06 35 units £5.72
    14/10/06 1142 units £128.27

    Total units 3847 £353.12

    Total cost £740.47

The opening and closing meter readings for the January and October bills are Actual readings so I know I'm working with valid data.

    These prices include discounts.

    Discounts included as follows:
    jan 06 £7.93
    jun 06 £14.70
Oct 06 £20.09 all taken from the gas bills quoted above.

    VAT included in above

The units used are simply calculated by taking the opening meter reading from the closing meter reading so for Gas they have to be converted to produce Kwh

They are linked and I get one bill.

Well based on the readings that you sent to me and the current prices your paying over 12 months your gas alone would be £568.68 (with a CV of - 39.4725)

Worked out as 18635kWh for 339 days.

(I will send you workings by PM in a minute)

If there's no discount on your April bill there should be an extra £18 credit on your June bill

I know there have been price rises so how come I have paid less than £400 to Powergen for Gas. Also why when I put units into the comparison sites why does such a low charge come up?
