Falkirk are dealing with my case0

The case opened in 1993 and by 1998 arrears had built up to £21000?...the first letter I remember getting from csa stated this huge amount.. a long story really, I sort of buried my head in the sand at that time because of the huge amount, iv never been on a high income..and when I queried the amount I was told if I didn't start paying I would be taken to court..which it has gone to court and am paying a set amount towered these arrears each month..my income has been low but am now paying for regular maintenance alongside court order amount...obviously now iv got my files I can begin to make some sense of things..and my ex has lied and told csa i was not living with her from 1993, yet we went on to have my other daughter in 1994 and have some proof I was living with her until 1997..so it's now opened up a can of worms so to speak..have recently told csa of this and hopefully they will look into this further0

I'd seek the guidance from Nacsa regarding this as I'm pretty sure the way it's worded is " when the debt becomes due" have a look on their web site
If it's falkirk they will plough on with this action

NACSA know the legislation sometime better than the CSA themself. They do get mentions in parliament for the work they do.0 -
Advice is sound......................Go to NACSA, but please demand in writing an account breakdown from Falkirk CSA, may also be worth getting a copy of your Data Protection File, as this may contain errors/evidence etc, NACSA have a template letter to apply for this and it will cost you a tenner. But I'm pretty sure they cannot enforce arrears PRE-2000.
NACSA best bet tho........0 -
Thanks bdt1..already have my files..have just finished going through them and frm what I can see they have made some errors on my case, but it's hard to decode alot of the info.. Will definitely be getting in touch with nacsa as heard alot of good feedback on them...thanks again for your advice!0

The CSA have just done fresh assessments for me going back over the last decade. The CSA got the tax figures for this directly from Inland Revenue.0

Hi MIKEtheBIKE csa is that a new thing that they are doing as csa have asked us to send in income details for the years in question, tho think this is just when I was self employed as dint think inland revenue would have record of this0
