I hope you don't mnd me asking but what is to stop people who start threads doing so on a paid basis for other websites?
Clicking through, the website that receives the click through identifies that it came from this thread and could pay the person for starting it.
Is there a way to tell paid for recommendations?

No offence and ask away. I didn't put in a referer link as MSE don't like it. You do get £5 for each 'acquired' referred 'friend' and the link looks like this http://www.simplycashback.co.uk/refer.php?referrer=14462
My original link was simply to the sign-up page or you can go instead to the home page http://www.simplycashback.co.uk/0 -

Presumably you have to wait a couple of months? Quidco says 2 months but with insurance it's often longer.0 -
I woudn't bother.Lets not use quidco0

Well, if you sign up to the Sainsburys life insurance deal and pay for 3 months @ £5 a month, you'll have paid £15 but get back £40 cashback (incl the £5 by signing up with Simplycashback, £50 in Sainsbury's vouchers and 1000 Nectar points (=£5).
So a profit of £80 for 5 minutes' work.
Why wouldn't you bother?0 -
I can get the same deal from http://www.thisiscashback.co.uk/ as its on all the V A C Media Ltd websites and i trust the evening post more than some vitamin company.Lets not use quidco0

So you wouldn't bother based on some irrational choice between two relatively unknown cashback sites?0
