Haven't seen those for years. With a red ribbon across the top left hand corner. My mum used to keep all her old bills and letters in the boxes. Did the chocolates taste nicer then, or is it just me ?:dance:0

Try Charbonnel & Walker
ring their London shop
Also ring Harrods food hall or Selfridges
also Fortnum & Mason.All worth a try
but if you phone chances are they may have
something in store.None of these are the cheapest
places but the choice of choccies in Harrods alone
is amazing
Failing that you could always see if a
vintage empty box turns up on ebay
and get it filled with chocolates.
My fave is Charbonnel & Walker
I got one of their opera boxes once
as a pressie,ooh I was lucky that
year,I store decorations in it now.0 -
I remember my dad buying mum a 'picture box' box of chocolates. Black Magic they were. The box was black, I think it had a red flower on it and a red ribbon. I remember it was quite deep with what can best be described as a 'skirt' if you see what I mean. Not just a square/oblong box. Black Magic were chocolates for grown ups - or at least that's what mum said :rotfl:0

I remember Black Magic Chocolates
and each one was in a little paper
pleated cup with tissue you had
to lift up to see the chocs, none
of that horrible plastic casing that they
are all in now.Opening a box then was
far more fun.0 -
Yes, that's the ones. You could pinch one and move the little paper cases around a bit to disguise the fact that one was missing 'cos it was the only way to get one in our house :rotfl:0

the Charbonnel & Walker ones
are still packed the same way.
They have over a 100 different
types and you can pick your favourite
ones to go in your box, best of all
they taste exactly the same today
as they did years ago.A real trip down
memory lane, the only down side is the
price.0 -
Just found this,very different...
http://www.chocolategraphics.co.uk/acatalog/Photo_Chocolate_Messages.html:T It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice. :T"A bargain is something you can't use at a price you can't resist."
