How to remove those red Sale Dots of Clothes Labels

Hello,

Does anyone know anything - cheaper the better - that removes those awful red dots from clothes tags that shop put in them like Next & M&S when items are in the Sale. I want to give someone an item for a present with the tags on but it's got this red dot on & I don't want the die to run on their washing in the machine. Any tips appreciated?

I may wll be alone but I have never had one that run.....the rest of garment may fade after zillions of washes but the read dot shines bright as a beacon!

Now that I think about it one did become a bit smudged but didn't run into anything else.

As a gift would it be possible to remove the label altogether?

I have been told hairspray works but have never tried it so don't know!

I've had several pale coloured blouses from Next with the red dots on the label. None has ever run.
They will use a permanent/fabric pen.

These red dots dont run, they wouldnt be able to put it on if it did. Oh and its permanent as above said.

Cut the label so the red dot is cut off.
Get some plain card 'luggage label' os labels with string on
Write on it 'sample' or 'prototype' and a date (make it up)
Then everyone will think you have some insider contacts!

Dry cleaning fluid like dab it off has worked in the past for me.
