goverment grants

hi all,i am actually on sickness benifits, and well ive been offered a job of selling cars, by 2 freinds, who are car dealers, theyve both said to me if i can get my own unit, they will supply me with round about 25 cars to sell every month, and i will make money from them, now my question is im willing to try this, but was wondering if the goverment would help me in getting a unit,or should i say help me with funds to open my own unit,as i feel if i do this i will go on to run my own buisness one day in the very near future,i just need that helping hand in getting some money to open up this unit,so please any help would very much appreciated:)

  • before i went on the sick i was selling cars for many years before my accident, and i was like a aurther daily seller, found selling easy as i seem to have the gift of the gab, most my freinds use to also ask me to sell there cars after they tried to sell them themselves, and i managed easy,my 2 freinds who are car dealers arewell prepared to give me upto 25 carts a month to try sell from 1 unit,so im quite good at this,do you think i could get any help on this matter?i dont no if there is anything to help me but im well willing to give it my upmost best attention to try

theres nothing dodgy about this attall, these are 2 of my best freinds who have plenty of money and are just trying to get me back into the game,if it was dodgy as you put it they would not ask me and would not deal with anything like that these are 2 genuine wealthy guys, who are freinds and are just doing there upmost best to help me out
  • have i come to the right placehere?i came to ask if there was any help i could get information on grants?for this kind of work i want to do
  • Your local Chamber of Commerce or Businesslink will be able to avise you if there are any grants available to you - but there may be several conditions attached, such as age limits, geographical location, whether you can put up any money yourself, etc.

I googled Manchester Business Link for the first weblink, and Manchester Chamber of Commerce for the second. I have never started a business before either, but Google is a great tool, although you do need to plough through to see what is useful and what isn't. Your local library may also be able to help with local addresses and contact numbers.
  • top man thank you very much i shall try these sites now,big thanks to you m8
