if you mean the glass ones with the clip over top - try Ikea, I got a huge one to keep tea lights in - think it was £1.990

Home Bargains do some nice Kilner-style jars for £1 each. They're not the actual brand Kilner though. I was looking for the best price when I was making blackberry jam this autumn and was shocked at how much they real ones cost!
Tesco also do some similar jars in two different sizes, the smaller size (I'm not sure how much it holds- maybe 1lt?) is £1.50 and does look nicer than the HB ones- it actually looks just like the real Kilner brand. It also seems more "airtight", though if you're using them for sweets rather than jam-type things, that might not be such an issue for you.
P.S. Don't know if it's any help to you, but I found some great Christmas jar labels and present tags on a scrapbooking website. It's http://www.shabbyprincess.com/downloads.asp, and you can download the file/s called "Holiday Recipe Collection" (second from the top on the left hand side) for quite a large selection.Optima semper libera sunt

I second Ikea. They have a few different sizes and the smaller ones are less than £1 (I think). I have looked around at prices and have found these to be good value.0
