Hi Anabiosis,
My complaint was upheld in part on the basis that I was single with no dependants at the point of sale and thus the life cover was unecessary, and FOS info at the time seemed to support this view. It's interesting that things have obviously changed in the last few years, ears and elbows spring to mind

Thanks for the reply. Its interesting to hear of variation in the replies people have received.
I think the thing that didn't work well for me was that I admitted that I was saving for a property when I took out the policy.

My mum's complaint was upheld as she was sold a policy that would run past her retirement age. Also the company that sold it had gone bust in the intervening time so I think that helped her cause. Sorry you're having so much hassle.:hello: :hello: :hello:0
