I have applied for a mortgage of £133,750. This means the LTV will be less than 60% as I have a £100,000 deposit. Will I be successful??
I got the house at a very god price as the sellers want a quick sale. We have provided evidence of permanent incomes. Only negative is I will be just over the retirement age when the term ends. I have given them pension projections.

Why not opt for a shorter mortgage term and clear your mortgage before retirement?0

From our experience of getting mortgage with HSBC, it seems to depend largely on your mortgage manager. Ours wasn't very helpful but thankfully the premier account manager exerted some pressure (after chatting to us on a chance) and hay presto, it was magically approved.
I had less then a year's account on self employed status but I do have several years of employment history in the same sector and our job has very stable income. My partner is employee in large organization but I'm the major bread winner. This was done about 6 months ago.
Good luck!0
