Bayliss & Harding Products?

Options
Hello Fello Bargain Hunters,

When I was in Debenhams last week (using my £5.00 voucher) I came accross Bayliss & Harding Gift Sets.

Does anyone know if the same company as Bayliss & Harding make Molton Brown products or visa versa, ya get my meaning?

The bottle designs and shower gel names are very similar to Molton Brown but obviously no where near as expensive.

Also noticed Morrissons are selling the Bayliss & Harding gift sets at 2 for £5.00 at the moment...:D

  • I don't think so,

having looked at the websites the addresses are different:

They are similar looking though aren't they, I picked up a nice set (B&H) from co-op for £3.

Molton Brown aren't linked to Bayliss and Harding in anyway! They copy Molton Brown to make it look like it!

If you use both, you'll quickly see/smell the difference!
It may seem like a good idea to go for the cheaper stuff but it definitely doesn't last as long so it's a bit of a false saving anyway!

Don't know if it's any help to you but I noticed on the Home Bargains thread that someone had seen B & H Bath and Shower gel for 79p in their local HB store. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1075311

Agree- its like supermarkets own brands mimiking the top brands. They do it all the time, often to confuse the buyer into thinking they are buying the branded product but don't realise until its too late... Most of the time for this very purpose.

The Molton Brown products are much better quality if my mum is anything to go buy (MB is/was a staple in her office toilets!)
  • Molton Brown smells much stronger and you only need half as much as the other stuff. It is pricey but if you can get the occasional offers or get to the outlet in Manchester it's def worth it...I've become a bit of a M&B snob but you get what you pay for.

Ohhhh what's the outlet name...Do they have much MB there? Is it worth a visit accross the pennines! ;)

I really like Molton Brown the bottles of Bayless and Harding may look the same but the contents are nothing alike. It's like alot of the supermarkets are now doing Soap and Glory rip offs.If something is popular other companies try to cash in.

I like Baylis and Harding - you do get what you pay for and for the price this is good stuff, the hand cream is very smelly at less than £2 a bottle it is not fair to compare it to MB at £15!

Bayliss and Harding products (whenever I've used them - ie at friends house, posh offices I temped at etc) are nice especially if used together. When I temped they had different soap/hand cream in each toilet and that was nice to use together. Pretty and unusual scents (mandarin?).

But MB especially their candles and for gifts you just can't beat. An ex boyfriend of mine was in love with their various shower gels and I am the same - don't mind spending extra when I have the money and especially if they're on special offer - for me and for presents too.

I will give a big heads up to anyone I know going to Manchester - there's a Whistles outlet in Salford Quays and a girl I know often goes up there for work so time to ask a few favours methinks.

BTW - now - 9.30am and STILL NO VOUCHER - EMAIL NEWSLETTER. will wait until lunchtime but bloody annoyed about that!

2 outlets - 1 is in Cheshire Oaks - the other in the Lowry Outlet place which is Salford Quays

Couture Gift Set 6 x 100ml treats - RRP £54 - their price £34 and a review well mixed reviews and one person said they had a reasonable selection of stock but this was in June 2008! However good selection of samples apparently and MB seem to have lots of promotions so maybe prices are still just as good. HTH
