fredrickson international letter

hi can anyone help i have just got a letter from fredrickson international wanting 7k in full now or i go to court i'v never heard of this company till thiss week. i did have a 7k loan about 10 years ago which i couldnt aford to pay and i'v moved quite alot since then so its about 9 years since they have had any money from me, can they still chace me for this after all thease years. i work full time on min wage and have no cash left after i pay rent bills ect.
this letter has made me feel sick i dont know what that to do any advice would be a great help thanks.

If you think the debt is yours and you haven't acknowledged it in writing or made a payment for a 6 year period (5 if you are in Scotland), then there is info and letters in this link.

As fermi says, if nothing's happened in over 6 years, it's statute barred, which means they can legally do nothing. Send the SB letter by recorded delivery, and if they persist in contacting you after they receive it, refer complaints to the OFT, the Financial Ombudsman Service, and your local Trading Standards as well.0
