So my hubby was made redundant from his job last xmas which left us in a massive financial mess. We were already heavily in debt but on top of all the payments (albeit minimum payments) so not too concerned (as long as didn't think about it too much). After he lost his job, he was unemployed for 6 months and so we ended up setting up a DMP with CCCS and getting on the long road to being debt free one day.
Things started looking up in June when he got another job at last. It was much less money than before but better than nothing and we were able to pay more to CCCS and live slightly more comfortably than we had to (by that I mean lavishly going to the cinema or getting a take-out once a month).
Anyway, he was made redundant from the new job after just 3 months so now we are back to square one, having to ring everyone again and panic about how to survive.
He has managed to secure a part time warehouse job paying minimum wage which at least means we have some extra income but today was his pay day from that job and he accidentally gave them our old bank details for his wage to be paid into. It was one of the accounts with a big overdraft that should have been frozen. We realised when I check the online bamking this aft and saw his money wasn't there so he asked payroll and they confirmed our old account number. So I was totally panicking thinking this money would be lost, that HSBC would have just swallowed it up to pay off the OD (quite rightly I guess seen as we owe them) but we went to the cash machine and were able to withdraw the money.
Now I am really glad we were able to get it as we were counting on it for the rest of the month but now I am worried what they will do. That they will cancel our DMP and say we had no right to use the account or withdraw the money.

Personally I'd really not worry, get that new account set up asap and make sure his employer changes the payment details. I think you were lucky but certainly not doing anything wrong, if they decided to allow you to withdraw that's there problem. You are repaying them so I don't see why they should mention anything.
Dmp isn't binding so they can go back on it but providing you stick to the set arrangement then nothing to worry about.0
