How many weeks is it before a whole new JSA claim would be created after signing off?

I have previously been claiming JSA from March/April 2010, so by October 2010 I was on new deal but I signed off as I was occasionally working over 16 hours a week in my part time job so thought it would be easier to sign off completely until after Christmas where my hours would be reduced again. How many weeks signed off would I have to be for when I go back on it for the claim to be completely new i.e. signing on every fortnight again and not going back on New Deal agreement, as I'd rather start a completely new claim than going back into my old one as a course wouldn't necessarily be ideal at the moment due to occasional weekday working. Thank you.

You can do a rapid reclaim for up to 26 weeks, so I'd say 27 weeks for things to reset completely.0

Isn't it 13 weeks? I always get asked if I've claimed in the last 13 weeks when I start a new claim.0

Customers at stage 3 of JRFND who have a claim break of 28 days or less will return to stage 3, all other customers will go back to stage 1.0

For the purposes of the two claims linking I believe you would have to not claim any benefits for more than 13 weeks, one day less and they link and you would pick up where you left off."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

I assume you are still looking for full time work so you may well have a better job by then and not to have to sign on at all. Surely planning to find work is better than planning to claim benefits0

Just incase you missed my post of 12th November I'll repeat what I sald
If you are currently at stage 3 of your JSA claim and you have a break of 28 days or less you will return to stage 3 of your claim. If your break is for 29 days or longer you will go back to stage 1.
If you need further proof visit http://www.official-documents.gov.uk/document/cm75/7566/7566.pdf
and look at page 37
4.2.1 Linking rulesWhere customers make renewal claims within the linking periods, they
will return to the point at which they left the new regime.
These linking periods will be:a) in Stage 3 (Supported Job Search), reclaim JSA within four
weeks; andb) in Stage 4 (Flexible New Deal), reclaim within 26 weeks, unless asustained Job Outcome has been achieved (see paragraph 5.2.)
