Hi All
I'm looking for some help and advice please.
I have a so called friend who i have helped financially over the past 3-4 years. He has been paying monthly on time for the past 18 months but now has refused to make further payments. The outstanding amount is £40,000:00. I have everything in writing through loan agreements and have passed the details to my solicitor. This is proving to be very slow and the 2 letters from my solicitor have been returned as "no answer" . My solicitor now advices it will be sent via sheriff officers, (more expense on my side).
My question is .... Is it possible for me to put default notices on his credit reference??
Many Thanks in Advance

You could contact the credit reference agencies and ask them if you can register this as a default. Have you got a court order?
Obviously no other posters on this thread from north of the border or they would know that sheriff officers are not just after Robin Hood.0 -

Thank you Sleepless Saver, your reply is much appreciated...
Will contact the credit reference agencies. I've got the decree but not the court order as yet, My solicitor is sending them letters to inform them of the decree but they are coming back unanswered, hence the Sherrif Officers having to personally deliver the decree.0
