cheaploans.co.uk

:( I could very well be the stupidest person in the world. I have been duped by this company who managed to wangle £189.00 out of me for a loan (yep stupid me right?) for a £5,000 loan and then they are badgering me for a further £399.00 admin fee despite being told at the onset that there was no admin fee just the £189.00 for the first monthly repayment. They said as soon as I pay this further amount they will transfer the £5,000.00 to me account. I cannot get through to them (either engaged or unobtainable) yet they still ring me most mornings. They are telling me that the Chairman of their company just died and sorry for the delay but that I do need to pay this admin fee which of course I am not going to do. I have notified my bank to block them. I have written to them by recorded delivery but has anyone else been conned by this crowd? I am usually quite intelligent but must have had a lull in braincells that day

I've not heard of a UK based company conducting this scam. It is normally Western Union Transfers to India

Are you sure it is these guys and not a third party you were forwarded/clicked a link to?? Who did you actually pay the money to??

You are right on both sides - yes I have written to Bey but I did pay the money Western Union :( Idiot - long gone eh?

    Yup, long gone.

Paying by Western Union is like giving a handful of cash to some stranger in the pub and expecting him to turn up a week later with your goods.
  • Thanks for your help - I have had better weeks
  • It also says that you can add the fees to your loan
There may also be an initial setting up fee, also known as an application fee or administration fee, which may be paid up front or added to the loan.
