Does anyone know how long anything stays on your credit file.
i.e if i did an IVA or debt mgt problem.. how long do they stay on for?

a DMP means you default your debts and the defaults stay on your credit record for 6 years.
IVA stays on your record for six years
this doesnot necessarily mean you can't get a mortgage or remortgage but it may mean you will be charged a higher rate of interest but it depends upon your particular circumstances0
