Wedding Tree

Hey - Just wanting some help, I am based in Preston and getting married 4 weeks on sunday arrggghh

anyway the OH has decided that she doesn't want a standard table planner...she wants to get some sort of tree and hang the different table lists off it? Anyway I have found a few on the internet but they are so expensive and we are on a very tight budget, just wanted to check if anyone knew where we might be able to get one or hire one?

similar to the ones on this site - http://silverbirch-designs.com/SBD35.aspx

the silvery ones

any help is greatly appreciated!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    ebay is probably the cheapest
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p
  • I'd be tempted to go around looking for a nicely-shaped branch of an appropriate size lying around as a result of the recent winds, remove any remaining leaves and spray-paint it. Then find a pot/vase/jar, put soil/pebbles in to secure the branch and maybe decorative pebbles on top.

Just the first thing that sprang to mind, given that I'm a complete cheapskate, and it may not work, but might be worth a try?

cheaper still would be to go out and find some fallen branches and spray paint them silver. you can get a large pot and fix them in using sand or soil or something.

they are quite dramatic looking but really expensive to hire and buy - it depends whether you want to save the money or not? If you are on a budget, can you really afford it?

I am not having a standard table plan. I cant decide between handwriting the names onto a large antique looking mirror or writing them on slate roof tiles and nailing them to sticks of wood which will be inserted into a planter with flowers in (I saw similar in a magazine this month...).
  • i made my own wishing tree, i got some nice branches pjut them in a vase with expandable beads, i put butterflies on the vase and little paper flowers on the ends of th branches, you culd do the same and spray it silver and you could always put some small fairy lights on it for a little sxtra touch.
