Hi there,
Was wondering if all you wise owls could help me?
Have been in the process for about 2 years of clearing my debts slowly but surely, today i have purchased my credit report and there are a few accounts still registered that have been payed off. Just wondering what i can do about this really, as they are still putting the monthly comments on that i am not paying when they have been payed now for 18 months.
Any help appreciated

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.

Call the company's listed to confirm that everything is paid off just in case there's something you didn't know about and get them to confirm it in writing. Once you have the confirmation you can ask the credit ref agencies to remove the incorrect details from your report.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

you need to contact the companies doing this and get a letter stating they are paid off which you can then send to equifax, also contact equifax with this information while you are waiting as they will also contact companies to see if the information they are receiving is inccorect.(sp?)official dfw nerd club member no 214
Proud to be dealing with my debts!;)
Why is a person that handles your money called a broker?!

Got to admit thought, Equifax are very slow at updating records. My credit report shows details of debts that have been paid off or are very old.0

I don't mean to imply that you are stupid, but are you reading the report correctly? They can be a bit of a brain-strain as they aren't that easy to interpret on first glance.
If you sre sure that you don't owe anything then you could either contact the credit report (Experian or Equifax or the other one) and explain you concern. They will contact the companies that you are challenging.
You can do this or you can contact the companies directly. Their addresses will be listed at the back of the report.

:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Experian wouldn't help me at all. I was told to call the company who had the incorrect info in my report. They told me to phone experian, I was going round in circles for so long, I gave up!
I do believe though, to remove old cards etc you should put it in writing to the company concerned.0
