I was in the store in Bristol, just about to pay for my purchase. Outside the gift guide holders were full, loads on the counter too. Then the other assistant answered the phone. I heard him say "scam???" Immediately the assistant called another worker and they both ran outside and dragged all the guides in, seeing me eye the ones on the counter they swiftly removed those too.0

Had my first one refused today. Again it was just a number I'd jotted down on a bit of paper and he was adamant he needed the printed voucher.
As for Currys after sales service? Well, what a complete and utter shower! I've been trying to ring one store which is listing something I want for 3 whole days and they NEVER answer their phone! I've been trying the main customer support number all afternoon and get some dumb recorded msg that tells me I need to escalate my issue with a line manager, tells me theres no facility to leave a msg and hangs up!
Oh, the bargain bluetooth headset I got yesterday took over 6 hours to charge (my jabra takes 2) and was dead within 40 mins of use today (the jabra last absolutely hours). I'm working on a plan though. My guess is when I take it back they will refund the coupon value onto a giftcard? If they do then I might see if I can find another MP3 player in the 15 to 20 quid area and try and use a voucher and the giftcard. No idea if it'll work though.
Bought a pair of those clippers today so the hound will get sheared at some point soon.0 -

Do you think they are going to be manually validating them now?0 -
The store at Parkhead Glasgow had no books that I could see anywhere and the display that held he books was dismantled. Bought dvd+r 25pkt, paid 2.99 to it. Assistant said they have had lots of vouchers being brought in.0

Went to 5 stores today
and they've taken the brochures from display. However the offer is advertised everywhere and when I bought my speakers (reduced to £4.99) and explained how my mum had given me the voucher, the kind assistant offered me a brochure so I could get my own voucher. :A

I didnt go mad - have got six vouchers, they all say "one per transaction" - all my name and address, different emails. Do you think it would still be ok to use them.Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x
My alphabet-girls are with me every step of the way x0 -
I've used 24 vouchers so far.....0

All books removed in the last two stores I just went in. One happily took my code and typed it in manually, but other one wanted to see the original and wouldn't budge. They said a fellah came in a short while before me with 50 (yes that 50!) and wanted to use them all but they wouldn't take any off him and told him to sod off!
Used a couple and don't really want anything now, but will try and register another 1 or 2 in case something I fancy goes in the sale before xmas.
Thanks everyone for an entertaining thread anyway0 -
Quite a few stores have Golla mobile/mp3 "pouches" reduced at around £4 which are rather nice and make great Xmas presents. It's not just paper, batteries and cheap toasters0
