  • Dont get me started on this one.... my house is worth somehwere between £108k and £115k - but Halifax have it down on record as being worth £85k! They havent been to survey the property, they've worked it out purely based on what I paid for it and market values. I'm now selling the house and moving so that I can essentially 'prove' it's value - estate agents advised to put it up for £112,000 - so definately not worth £85k!

    As a point of interest, the main company that Halifax use to execute valuation reports is owned as a subsidiary of.... Halifax
