Hi
Me and my partner are looking at getting a mortgage in the middle of next year. We are currently doing everything possible to ensure that we are in the best possible position to be accepted.
I sent off for our credit reports from Experian, whilst mine seems fine my OH has a late payment marker on a visa card he use to have - this was caused by a 1p balance! Also whilst switching bank accounts around 3 years ago a company attempted to take the money from his old bank account which caused him to go into an un-arranged overdraft and this is also marked on his report. At the time of both these incidents we spoke to the bank involved sorted it out straight away and have since closed both accounts.
Will this alone cause us any problems when applying for our mortgage? I know that there are other things to consider but we have been checked for affordability, will have no debts by then (other than car finance) and will have a deposit.
Any advice will be much appreciated

I don't know...depends what your scores were: we just got our mortgage, my score with Experian was 999 and hubbies was 994; neither of us had lates or any other account issues.0

Little point in worrying about what may or may not happen. Improve your opportunities by saving as hard as you can over the next few months.0
