    Hi IA
Did you get your new Tax credit award notice yet I got mine this morning and it's wrong they have still based it on last yr when I was on mat leave.. they said I have to wait till I get my renewal letter from them!! so until then I think I may be overpaid!

    Hi JET34

Just to let you know the same thing happened to me last year. well the good news is that they now do the working out on the PREVIOUS year, as long as your income is not more than £25,000 MORE than what you got last year then your payments will stay the same for this year with no OVERPAYMENT. For instance LAST year I was on maternity leave and got £13,000 for the financial year - this year i was back at work and got a total of £28,000, but i do not owe them a penny even though a phoned them several times during the year to check. It will only make a difference if your wages go down and then they change the payments straight away.

    Hope this is helpful

He did say something like that If my wage had gone down then they would have changed it now... Well i'm not on a great wage but last yr while I maternity leave I earned very little as I didn't go back till Nov 06.. So do you think it mean's my WTC and CTC are right for this year... It just doesn't seem right..... I think I will still try to save them until I know for sure!!! P.S My wage hasn't gone up by 25k
    DEBT FREE 23/FEB/07 TWO YEAR's!! £2 £1020.00 Banked New total £268+ and counting SAVINGS 3000.00- ISA £30. :j

Then your payment's will not change JET, I can be certain of this as I have just completed a full year of being on my "back at work wage" and it has not changed and i do not OWE them any money. It was changed by the government Last APRIL as so many people were having to pay back "overpayments" (including myself) through no error of their own which was making things really hard financially for those who already found it difficult.

Hope this makes you feel happier and more at ease

IA - do you use a sleeping bag for K? With her getting cold etc? I've got a spare one somewhere I could pop in the post if you'd like? I think it's a 0-6 months one so would be ok for her now.

We have got a sleeping bag but it's one of Ashli's old ones so too big for her at the moment as if I remember right it's 12-18 months. We're just using blankets for K at the moment..
That's really kind of you to offer us yours! What do you want for it? Anything that stops K waking up at god knows what time because she's kicked her covers off AGAIN would really make my day.. lol.
