Ooooh I forgot to tell you all.. I have an interview!! Someone mentioned before about ''babysitters'' babysitting agency which I applied for and a woman called today to arrange an interview! How exciting! trouble is they need tonnes of info, 3 written references including 2 from childcare people I've worked with and all kinds of id and various other bits..
Interview is on the 29th if I can get the references they need...

Aww good luck with the interview hun. I work in education, and the amount of paperwork they need to do all your checks etc is unbelievable.

I recently had my first interview for over 20 years, and was absolutely terrified

Dont forget to let us know how it goes.

Have you checked you will be better off financially? (i.e. with benefits and stuff)

Well apparently it's basically like normal babysitting but as it's an agency people go to them looking for babysitters in their area that are qualified childcarers and then they give them your details. So it wouldn't be a proper job as such it'd just be a 'on the rare occasion' kind of thing..

Not necessarily, we had a LL supply an old fridge and we were on card meter, always having lights and telly go off - we turned everything off and found the fridge (tiny under counter job) was costing £5 A WEEK to run... for all you know it could have leaked coolant, have a dodgy seal and cost a fortune to run.

A new fridge can save £50 a year in running costs (and the planet for kiddies like Kaitlyn and Ashli  ), with your new fridge you know no dodgy seals, have a warrantee and won't have to replace in the near to mid-future, less likely to die again costing you time, petrol and spoiled food.

Plus it's shiny and new and has a plug so Ste will like it.

Household appliances need replacing and cost money to run (old ones more) such things do have to end up in the budget... it hasn't been a disaster because you've got a sensible budget. Luckily you didn't pay anything off early and had spare in the pot because of the decisions you made :T

I reckon if you do the Sun vouchers for Haven, the quidco free DVD trials and clickthroughs for kelkoo etc (50p a day) for a few months then you can have a free holiday... up for the challenge?

You shop at tescos? Considered the RAC rescue and recovery for £20 in vouchers, no expensive breakdown or... http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/product.aspx?R=325&bci=4294967294|Days%20Out
