I got all excited when I got an e-mail saying I had won a body wash worth £18 but to claim it I have to buy something else from their website and pay for postage as well

Gosh what a fiddle. That's not a prize, it's a BOGOF. Email them back and tell them they're out of order and you're going to spread the word

 I hate it when companies say it's a "competition" but expect you to buy something to receive it.
Thankfully the majority of comps aren't like that.
I agree with Barneysmom, email them and ask them how it's a comp if you have to buy something??!!
What comp was it? Name and shame

I had a look online for the T's and C's but the comp page is gone now. I have sent them an e-mail so will let you know if I get a reply0

Oh yes, do complain. It sounds like they are offering a free gift when you place an order, certainly not a prize. I wish companies wouldn't do that, I have had a few like that before, I wonder if there are regulations on what you can call a 'prize'?Comping wishlist for 2017

well I received an e-mail back to say that it was in the terms and conditions that you would need to make a purchase in order to claim the prize. Unfortunately, the T's and C's are no longer available on their website so I can't check.
They did offer free delivery by way of an apology but it looks as if I want the prize I will need to buy something else from their website
