I'm just on the verge of buying this one, Fuji s5500, all the reviews seem very good and it's the cheapest price i have found, 4 mp, 10x opt

  • I have bought a number of Digital camera from 7 day shop.

Don't bother paying the extra carriage as things generally take about a week to come anyhow.

I had the S5000 - it was pretty good.
    The S5100/5500 is fantastic.

Buy an Olympus XD card 512mb while you're at it as they are only £39.99

The 10x optical zoom works really well, the camera has very little lag and meters well in the dark too. A big optical zoom is well work having.

Video is excellent quality at 30fps with sound - eats memory though - only 7mins on a 512mb card - so buy two if you want to record video. Get some 2400mah Rechargeable batteries for long life - though this camera is also good on that.

4mp is all you really need for 6" x 4" and maybe a bit bigger. Though saying that I once produced a picture 1.1metres across with the S5000.

I also have an 8mp Olympus - very very good pictures - but many draw backs compared to the S5500.

Okay so i've waffled enough - Buy it - you won't be dissapointed.

    Thanks for your feedback

The optical zoom at it's most, are the pictures blurred without a image stabiliser,

also interested to know what auto focus is like - especially in low light as I mainly use my camera for gig photography.. I need something that isn't going to blur every ten seconds.. if only it had an af assist lamp..
