i have to stick with the dining room table or the floor, wish i had the space for a room, yet once we have had our conservatory built in the next 1-2 years (stilling saving up lol) i can use that which will be great as i hate having to keep getting bits out and putting away

i use the dining room. luckily our dining room is a seperate room ( ie not a lounge diner or kitchen diner) so i can leave stuff out if i need to and shut the door so the kids don't fiddle, lol. however not ideal as we eat all our meals at the table. hubby has a hobby room ( he has an n guage train layout in it) but we do have a kids toy room, still in process . so my thinking is once kids no longer need it as a toy room it shall be mine !

my mum has a great little craft room, and when she not working she sits for hours up there sewing away. my hubbys nan has a massive craft room. ( she is a painter) every time i go there i just love sitting in there. she has loads of projext underway, on display etc. and then she has another room which has the big oven thingy in it. ( she paints china etc and it has to go in a kiln is it ). all our family is crafty in a way. but i'm the only one with a set room!

I had to downsize to just a desk, but before I had this bookcase from ikea:

With some drawers (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80166567) like in the second picture and some boxes (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80115484).

    And this desk:

I had wanted this set up: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20116071 but it didn't fit in our room.

im so very jealous :( i dont even have a table, I have to sit in a chair in the livingroom with everything precariously stacked beside me and then stuff it all in the cupboard when i'm finished.
Wonder if I could convince hubby to give me his garage or build me a little extension out the back . . . . . :D

I love seeing other peoples craft spaces, and how they vary a little depending on what crafts people do. Especially as none of my friends or family craft.
