Delivering leaflets - how to get work?`

Options
Hi

Just looking for some tips on how to get leafletting work from local takeaways, in your experiences.

Firstly, is it best to go at night? Takeaways are obviously closed in the day, but busy at night, will they have time to deal with me or will i just annoy them? They dont have email addresses and talking on the phone might be worse than going in to ask do you think?

What should the payment terms be? Do i tell them my price, or do i ask what they will pay? What is a reasonable price for both solus delivery and multiple leaflet delivery per thousand?

Should i expect to be paid first or after the job is done?

Ta :)

  • Please can anyone help me with this? Want to get started ASAP as i really need some cash, i am a fat skint slug after all!!
  • in the area I live someone put together a little booklet and got local business (my husband included) to pay for ad's and then delivered to the local area. Not sure how much the printing would cost but it worked for us and the booklet is still going strong.

Seems to me everyone would winn as long as you live in a city and have a little capital to get the first print done.

    good luck!!!
  • Sounds like a great idea, but I don't really want to do anything on this scale at the moment, as i'm trying to teach myself web design to hopefully become a freelance web designer. I just want to earn some extra cash while i'm doing this which will fit in between the kids school. Don't want to start up another business right now. Just so poor at the moment, just about covering the bills but not getting out and about with the kids at the weekends or doing anything fun in life and it would be lovely to just have a spare £40 a week for 6 - 8 hours work. Saves me spending my life sat in the house and gets me fit at the same time!

If anyone knows how i should approach these people I would be very grateful to hear your suggestions, as I would like to get some contracts set up this week and hopefully get 2 or 3 leaflet jobs on the go which can be delivered together - that would be ideal.
