HI,
I have lots of pillow cases and sheets that I no longer use and was wondering what I could recycle them into. I am going to use three pillow cases for my sons' christmas stockings as their stockings are too small and thought I could sew the originals onto the pillowcase to make them bigger!
Reading through all the threads you are all so creative and talented, so any ideas greatfully received.

Hi
Not sure how old your children are - but I made angel costumes for the school play from old pillowcases with tinsel round the arms, neck and hem. I just cut the arm slits and neck scoop and used the tinesel to prevent having to hem it!! (Can't sew for toffee - but looked ok!) The downside is that I was still finding tinsel threads in February!!!:rotfl:0 -
If you have a wildlife rescue ambulance in your area they will take them. Also sheets and towels are very useful to any animal rescue centre. Contact a Vet. to find out where they can be found.0

You could make Pillowcase Skirts
You could cut them up and use them to make an easy nine patch quilt.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Old pillowcases are great as replacement sheets for a baby`s crib as they are then like a fitted sheet and especially useful when you are running out of sheets.0

You could make some tote bags. There are some excellent patterns online if you goole it.
Then you could either use the bags for presents or take them when you go food shopping to cut down on evil carrier bags!!0 -
Thank you for all your replies.
