Best doormat

My new kitchen floor will be cream and show the dirt and the parquet in the hall is being sanded and re-varnished and I would like to keep it looking nice

So - new doormats for the hall and kitchen - any recommendations for the most effective ones please?

I have to be nice to mine as he is doing most of the work himself - however, he is the one that brings all the dirt in when he wanders in from outside on horrid days like this without taking off his shoes!

I have these mats at every door and have bought them for both my DDs. They are not the cheapest by any means, but as you walk on them, the dirt and wet just seem to be sucked off your shoes.

Antoher vote for Tutrtle mats. I have had mine a year and have washed it every month, it comes up fine every time.
