Two names on mortgage confusion

Hiya i wonder if anyone could put me right, i have a joint mortgage with my nan, although i have always paid the mortgage and always will i no longer live there, if anything happened to my nan and she was taken ill and had to go into a home how do i stand with the mortgage will it be taken into account as an asset of hers? should i have the mortgage put solely into my name as i am the one paying it any advice appreciated:j

Then it is partly her asset, especially if you're not living there.
The question asked on many LA assessment forms for care funding is "Have you EVER owned property?" or words to that effect. So changing things now will not really change anything.This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -
