Hi all hope someone can help
I have an unpaid court fine from my stupid youth that the courts have now passed to marston group. They are threatening to send a bailiff to my dads house.
On cccs advice I have contacted the court asking them to take back the fine and set up a payment plan and they have refused. Marston will only accept payment in full and wont enter an arrangement with me!
Please help, they are referring to bailiffs and possible committal!

When was the fine issued?
And by the waty they cannot take anything from your father's house unless you have some very expensive personal possessions.
And they CAN take installments. Just they do not want to.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
I have called them and they were really rude and nasty, saying its in full or nothing....The fine was issued 7 years ago0

Yes they are designed to be rude and nasty and to try and get it all in one go. Just they actually cannot have what you have not got. They will be hoping that dad will cough up or whatever, or you take out a payday loan, they do not care.
Please ring one of the debt charities because some debts become Statute barred after 6 years. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
I dont think it will be statute barred because I have had contact with the court recently, tried to arrange a payment plan, didnt keep up with my payments and now this has happened.....should have kept ignoring it!0

OK
Please read this and then read NDL
I think you are going to be best not paying the bailif, waiting for the debt to be returned to the court and then turning up with most of the money.
