Thanks for those suggestions, I think I better measure a thick A4 ringbinder and cross check it against the sizes.

theres big leather ones in tj huges for £30 but there good quality and will def fit ringbinders as mums getting me one

Ok have had an idea what to do for my nephew for christmas. OH makes roleplay weapons (like http://www.larping.net/larping/store/maces.JPG ), they're made from foam and are designed for hitting people with so are child-safe So.... OH is going to make a fireman sam style fireman's axe, and we'll make up a set with a fireman sam helmet, torch etc. So, anyone know where I can get a chunky red childrens torch?
