We have had cheap plastic ones before, buy they didn't last long, so don't mind paying a bit more if they will last
I like the look of these ones (mainly based on the reviews)

Hi - re something for DS like a DS
My youngest was the same and we got her a leapfrog leapster which was great - she had a pen with it like the DS and loved it and the games are all learning based and aimed at younger kids.. there are games that grow with them too... Toysrus have a good selection of games and I reckon you could probably get them on Amazon too - DD who is now 7 still plays with hers but is getting a DS for Xmas - my other two play with it too
Here is a link to one - not necessary the cheapest but gives you an idea about what I am talking about - although it looks a good price to me - I paid over £50 for mine quite a few years ago

they also do a new one called an explorer - not sure of the difference as we had the one above

Vtech do one too called a Vsmile have put a link to that one too - that is half price at the mo - we also have one of those - but we have more games for the leapster so that is the one that is played with more in our house

I would say so - espec if they have older siblings to help... my niece is 2 and she manages ok with it. Some of the games talk to you to tell you what to do which is great for a younger child who cant read. Might be worth reading a few reviews - to see which is better for a younger child.. either the Vsmile or the leapster.0 -

We have 2 of the Micro Mini Scooters and they seem to be the same - you have to lean to steer them too.0 -
Not sure if this is the same as the Argos one
http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&q=mini+micro+scooter&rlz=1R2ACAW_en&wrapid=tljp1290705669080014&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=2724819002730950298&ei=A5vuTPa9HMy0hAe6nPGgDA&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=1&sqi=2&ved=0CCoQ8wIwAA#
but when you search google for mini micro scoother this one comes up along with two of the 'other' ones
They have reviews on there too.
