Hey guys,
This is slightly off-topic but I've noticed that many of you have been disappointed with your free cards...
IMO, I think this is a little unfair on the site in question because they obviously had a large flood of orders for the free card. I could almost predict that they would "go under" with this offer. Can you imagine the production office trying to dealing with the massive upturn in orders?
I'm not surprised that many have received cards where the message hasn't been changed from the standard one. These people were probably run off their feet.
I found the comments on this (see link) thread on a different offer for cards quite interesting, see here (remove spaces):
http:// www .hotukdeals.com/freebies/free-personalised-card-plus-other-g/795923?page=2
This offer was for another company that was offering free cards, but they had to change the terms and condition of the offer because of abuse, leading to someone who was working for the company actually commenting on the thread. It's worth reading.
The company didn't mind giving cards away for free, but they had to withdraw this offer after a few people got carried away (greedy?) and registered with multiple e-mail addresses. The person working for the site, actually said they had one employee who now had to spend an hour a day, checking for people who'd registered with multiple e-mail addresses.
It may just be a little freebie to the person receiving it, but it's someone's job and someone's business behind it. I hope exploitation of this offer (multiple "purchases") wasn't responsible for a lot of people being disappointed. Just saying0
