  • My mum got sent one of these a few years back, needless to say she would have preferred the real thing rather than a 'pen' friend!

    I've been Money Tipped!
I think these gifts are a fab idea but I have found opinion is divided so I'm often wary of buying these for gifts now as some people can get quite peed off at the lack of proper gift.

However I do buy them for the staff in my sons class as I figure they'll have plently of other gifts from all the kids. So I included the teacher and all the class room assistants on the one card.

This year they are getting 60 bars of soap as last term they were focusing on handwashing.
For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.

I requested one of these off the kids a couple of years ago-didn't particularly "need" any more makeup/shoes/bags/chocolate etc. They chose the goat. The kids had great fun telling people they got me a goat for Christmas ! x

My children have to donate at least £10 each from their Christmas budgets for an oxfam gift. I let them choose what gift they want to give and when they were a bit younger they would often tell me to take £20 or £30 from the budget. As they've got older they stick with the minimum of £10!! The card I receive goes in their stocking and they always talk to each other on Christmas morning about what each of them gave along with the oohs and wows from the other things in their stocking.

When you get to checkout it's asking if you've got any promotional codes ...thought it would be a bit tight to look for a discount code :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
