That's the thing for me - nobody wants to houseshare with somebody old enough to be their mother (+), works from home, who loves silence, prefers to be awake at night, wanders round without turning any lights on - and will often step outside in the night air at 2-4am.0

The silence thing would be the only obstacle here. we're quite noisy

All sounds perfectly reasonable to me....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
In my case, sharing has led to lots of disputes. Specifically on issues like who should use the kitchen at any one time.
However, very early on I successfully defended my right to stay out of it. A situation that has lasted 40 years [or at least will be when we celebrate the Ruby wedding next year].0
