Not keen on talc, especially round one's nether regions. There was a connection with ovarian cancer in the papers at one time. (My Mum used it "down below" and she had this dreadful disease.)0

I use JBP all the time, all over, I shower myself in it. No it's not dangerous :rotfl:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Cant stand the stuff, cant remember when I last used any. Hated using it on the kids when they were babies too - was told it was traditional to do so but packed it in when I read it could actually hold moisture and cause soreness.0

I use it under my bust and on my feet. I use Cuticura; not at all sexy but a very good product. (Johnson's smell gives me migraine)0

I love talc. Normally I'll use which ever baby powder is cheapest, occasionally I'll use silky underwear from luch, but I find it expensive. I hav some beatifully scented talc from Italy which I or DH buy hen we are there, and when its very hot I use mentholated talc...which is unattractive here, smelly and depressingly packaged, but again, I buy it when in italy.0

I'd rather not have to, but being a bigger girl, I there are certain bits that get a bit warm, and therefore, er, perspire otherwise...

http://www.preventcancer.com/consumers/cosmetics/talc.htmQ. What kind of exposure is dangerous?
A. Talc is toxic. Talc particles cause tumors in human ovaries and lungs. Numerous studies have shown a strong link between frequent use of talc in the female genital area and ovarian cancer. Talc particles are able to move through the reproductive system and become imbedded in the lining of the ovary. Researchers have found talc particles in ovarian tumors and have found that women with ovarian cancer have used talcum powder in their genital area more frequently than healthy women.20
