Wallpapering all done now....looks nice & has freshened up the place.

Never seen Shawshank...I could`nt get into it so never watched it all through.

LOL no idea.....maybe there is a distinct difference between a thread that is a diary & a thread that is for chat *insert confused smilie here*)....LOL

On the BR board there is the Inn for chat & there is the MSE Arms I guess....shame there is no Inn for DFWers actually. Hmmm would probably be packed out every night...

it's the same old, same old, that is seen throughout MSE.

We are not supposed to have chat threads and go off topic... *yawn*, people do and usually it is ignored as long as everyone is playing nice. Once it gets trolled... that's it, strictly stick to point of thread and don't go off topic. The MSE Arms was invented for people who want to chat and go off topic.... *wanders off, there are things about MSE I don't like....*

There is one - on the "header" DFW board (this is the diaries sub-board). The last time I looked it seemed to be quite quiet.

Hi Aureol...I agree with you.

I also think there is a degree of support on diaries that often means they go off topic but that the overriding aim is still support & helping the OP through the bad times as well as celebrating the good stuff too.

...that can only be achieved by general conversation & chat.

I won`t do a diary because I was trolled once:(:( so I can see both sides however without general chat the boards just become a sterile Q&A environment IMO.

See that's the problem, the blooming trolls! they should do community service or volunteering. That might help sort out their sad little lives. Either that or take a long walk off a short cliff!

Ignore trolls - they just want attention, and denying them is the best way to ruin their day.
